I honestly don't know what Laurenwood is like right now but I know what it was like about 2-3 years ago. My mom fell and broke her ankle or leg (to many broken bones to remember) and was discharged here for Rehabilitation. The rehabilitation department and the therapy department were extremely amazing. They did a great job with my mom. On her last day there they moved her into the skilled nursing portion of the building and boy was it different. I'm needing to move my mom closer to home because when the hospital discharged her this time they sent her to Windsor Gardens in Lancaster. The thing with these places is Rehab is short term and the staff isn't overworked where as the skilled nursing portion is overworked and understaffed. I remember, I was a CNA for over 12 years before I had to stop working due to an on the job injury. I used to have 16 rooms all with double patients and I had to take care of them by myself on the morning shift. (Definitely not here) I loved my job more than anything and it seemed I worked all the time. My patients never went without but I can say CNAs should actually make more money than the nurses due to the amount of work they have to do. After reading the reviews I'm not going to put my mom back here. Google reviews is great and if a bed is available she'll be going to Duncanville Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center.

My mom is currently spending time here to rebuild her strength after a setback with congestive heart failure. I spent two days with her this week and was very favorably impressed with the facility and the staff. The section she is in is beautifully decorated and her private room is decently sized and attractively furnished. There is no hospital or nursing home feel to it. The staff that I observed were very caring and concerned with the patients. They were cheerful and attentive and seemed to genuinely care about their patients. I feel confident that my mother is receiving excellent care.

My mom will be coming into this facility on may 13 th 2019 to the rehab portion. I will say if any of you or your staff mistreats her or does not do things in loving care I will retain a lawyer. The reviews I have read are horrible. I live in walking distance so I will be coming in on a regular basis unannounced to observe the treatment she is receiving Better be on your best

First to be clear ... the nursing home and rehabilitation center are two separate places. Same location, separate companies, separate employees. My mother was in the care of the nursing home. If you care for, love your family member, DO NOT take them here to live. Staff speaks as though they care, really concerned for your loved one but their actions do not equal that. I can not stress enough DO NOT take your loved one here. My mother was not treated well, including severe bed sores, dehydration, I can go on with more. PLEASE DO NOT leave your loved one here.

My Mother has been a resident at Laurenwood since March 2015 and on hospice in May 2015. I can rest easy because of the care and compassion she receives every day. The staff is exemplary! Her care and comfort is their priority with any issue addressed quickly and professionally.
